An acute illness shouldn't mean a long wait at a clinic that doesn't know you, or a three-week delay for a primary care appointment. At Lifetime Vitality Clinic, your established care team handles the everyday illnesses you'd otherwise scramble for, and we already know your history, your medications, and your allergies.

01

What we treat at sick visits

Most acute illnesses don't need a hospital, they need a primary care provider who knows you. Common reasons patients will come in for a sick visit:

  • Cold, cough, sore throat, and seasonal flu
  • Sinus infections and seasonal allergies flares
  • Bronchitis and chest congestion
  • Pneumonia (mild to moderate, outpatient)
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Skin infections, rashes, and minor wound care
  • Stomach bugs, nausea, and acute GI complaints
  • Ear infections and ear pain
  • Pink eye and styes
  • Mild to moderate asthma flare-ups
02

Why your established care team is the right first call

When you're sick, the team that already knows you is faster, cheaper, and safer than starting fresh somewhere else. We have your chart open: what you've tried before, what you're allergic to, which antibiotic your last UTI responded to. That context matters, especially for patients with chronic conditions or complex medication lists.

03

Walk-in welcome any day

Once we open, walk in during open hours and we'll work to see you the same day. Prefer to call ahead? We'll answer same-day and next-day requests by phone, too. Either way, you'll see a provider who knows you.

04

When to skip the sick visit and go to the ER

Some symptoms need a hospital. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for: chest pain, difficulty breathing at rest, signs of stroke (face droop, arm weakness, slurred speech), severe abdominal pain, fainting, head injury with confusion, or any wound with heavy bleeding.

Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions.

Don’t see your question? Reach out and we’ll answer it directly.

Can I be seen the same day?
Once we open, almost always. Walk-ins will be welcome during open hours, and we'll take same-day or next-day requests by phone too.
Do you treat the flu and COVID?
Yes. We test for influenza, COVID-19, RSV, and strep in-office, and we prescribe antivirals (Tamiflu, Paxlovid) when appropriate.
Will my insurance cover a sick visit?
Most plans cover sick visits with a standard office-visit copay. Coverage depends on your plan, so check with your insurer for the details that apply to you.
Do you do telehealth for sick visits?
For straightforward cases (cold, mild UTI follow-up, medication questions), yes. For anything that needs a hands-on exam, throat swab, or urine test, we'll ask you to come in.
