Asthma and COPD are different conditions with one thing in common: both are highly manageable with the right inhaler regimen, a clear action plan, and someone watching for changes. Most flares and ER visits are preventable. We help you stay out of the hospital and back in your life.

01

What we treat

We provide ongoing primary care management for the most common chronic lung conditions:

  • Asthma, childhood-onset and adult-onset, allergic and non-allergic
  • COPD, chronic bronchitis and emphysema
  • Asthma-COPD overlap
  • Exercise-induced bronchospasm
  • Chronic cough workup
  • Acute respiratory infections in patients with chronic lung disease
02

Symptoms that bring patients in

Don't normalize these, they almost always respond to treatment:

  • Shortness of breath with activity that didn't used to bother you
  • Wheezing, especially at night or early morning
  • Persistent cough, with or without mucus
  • Chest tightness
  • Frequent respiratory infections
  • Needing your rescue inhaler more than twice a week
03

How we treat it

The goal is fewer symptoms, better daily function, and no ER visits. We build a plan around your specific severity and triggers:

  • Spirometry testing to confirm diagnosis and track lung function
  • Inhaler optimization, most patients are on the wrong one or using it wrong
  • Combination inhalers (ICS/LABA, triple therapy) for moderate-to-severe disease
  • Written asthma action plans so you know exactly what to do during a flare
  • Smoking cessation support (the single most effective COPD treatment)
  • Pulmonology referral for severe or atypical cases
Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions.

Don’t see your question? Reach out and we’ll answer it directly.

How do I know if I have asthma or COPD?
Spirometry, a simple breathing test, tells us. Asthma typically reverses with a bronchodilator; COPD doesn't fully reverse. The age you developed symptoms, smoking history, and triggers also help differentiate.
Do I need a rescue inhaler and a daily inhaler?
Most patients with persistent asthma do. A daily controller (usually inhaled steroid) prevents flares; a rescue inhaler treats acute symptoms. Using rescue alone is associated with worse outcomes.
Can COPD be reversed?
Lung damage from COPD doesn't reverse, but progression can be slowed dramatically, especially by quitting smoking and using inhalers correctly. Patients who engage with treatment live longer and feel better.
What should I do during a flare?
Use your rescue inhaler as directed. If symptoms don't improve or you're using rescue every few hours, contact us same-day. Severe shortness of breath, blue lips, or inability to speak in full sentences is an emergency, call 911.
